About Lisa

Hi! I'm Lisa Ramirez. I'm a mama of 3 and I'm from San Diego, CA. I fell in love with horses at age 3 and have been drawing and sculpting them ever since.

When I was 10, I was lucky enough to shadow a professional sculptor (and truly amazing human) Elizabeth Ritter. She has always been a huge inspiration and always encouraged me to keep crafting.

It wasn't until I was 23 that I started sculpting again, as a hobby. I discovered Sculpey through Becca (Dragons and Beasties) and was in awe when I saw what she and Erin (Whisper Fillies) were constantly creating. I sculpted (through a LOT of frustration and trials and errors) over the next 4 years before sculpting full-time.

I decided on the name Hocus Pony in 2020. Sculpting allows me to express myself creatively and I am so grateful to be able to do that every day. I want to inspire you to never give up and do what you love! I can't wait to see what you create :)
